Oh, the joy of Monday!

I've decided to drop my photography class. I took a small photography class in highschool and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I never took it up as a hobby because of how expensive it can be. With all the hubub surrounding university, I forgot the reason why I am quite hesitant to take any art (related) classes - the people are too damn subjective! Damn hypocrites. They insist that you come up with original ideas, creative scenarios, and take an active part in what you are trying to capture. Sounds great, unfortunately, they lack the insight to realize that not everyone's opinion matches theirs. As for me, I tend to go for the subtilty when I take photographs. I enjoy the many different interpretations from a single image.
My parents didn't take it as badly as I thought they would. The primary reason I want to drop it is because I'm in a honours major (ie. I have to maintain an honours average to stay in the major), and it would really suck to be kicked out of kinesiology because of an art class. I can easily drop the course online, but I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be done. I've been all over the university website trying to figure out if there's some specific process we're supposed to go through and if I get any money back (since it's a full year couse and we're not even past the first semester yet).
Anywho, I was going to go to the kine lecture this morning and ask the professor how one would go about dropping a course. I got there - late as usual - only to see an empty lecture hall and the words, "class is cancelled, will be made up next week," sprawled on the blackboard. So I drove back home. The upside is that I gassed up the car for 61.9/L, although technically it was 71.9/L because I'm supposed to use the gas with the highest octane.
I voted in the mayoral election this morning, for the first time. There were 49 candidates for mayor - woah! All you ever see on television is four. Well, I voted for who my parents told me to vote for - they told me that if the other guy won, they'd be out of a job since he wants to privatize everything.
I have an essay due on Friday I have to write. I want to get it done for Wednesday so I can drag it over to the Centre for Academic Writing and get their opinion, seeing as the TA claims I'm far too verbose for his liking, and I'm apt to agree
Now that I'm going to drop that photography class, it means that there's a 9.5 hour break between my first and second class. So, here I am, at home, waiting. Oh joy.
